I'm doing pretty well, dear. Thanks for checking in. It's always nice to hear from you. I just finished my Summer filming and recently got the news that Sign of the Dragon is an official selection for the San Diego Kids' International Film Fest, so I get to attend my 1st film fest/awards ceremony. I hope you're doing great and getting lots of fun work. Lovely new set, btw.
Thank you for your friendship! I watched the teaser for the movie you're in and congrats to you! I'm in an indie horror film called "Exit 38". Not the best movie, but it was good times :) Good luck in all your endeavors and definitely kit :)
Thanks so much for watching my trailer. I'm trying very hard to promote it, and appreciate the support. I looked up Exit 38. Coincidentally, I just did a film called Eternity:The Movie with Martin Kove. Small world. Always nice to meet another actor. I'll definitely kit and keep you updated on my films. Have a lovely weekend.
You're very welcome! It's definitely a small world :) You have a great weekend too xoxo
It's FRIDAY FRIDAY!! Hope you're up to something special :)
Thanks, sweetheart. I had a wonderful weekend and a very special Friday. I took my 20 month old son to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time. He had such a good time, we're doing it again this Friday. I hope you had a great weekend and have another great one this week.
Thank you for accepting my friend request! I hope you are having a beautiful week filled with all sorts of adventures and the biggest of smiles! ^_^
You're very welcome. My weeks has been pretty good. I'm not super busy this weeks, so I'm enjoying the simple things like a nice meal and having a great time with my toddler. Hope you're having a wonderful week and can look forward to a wonderful weekend.
Aww, thanks. Candy coated hugs are the sweetest kind. And right back at you. Have a great week.
Theoretically, if you can candy coat a hug, you can dip it in dark chocolate. Maybe even 90% cacao with spicy chili.
Mmm. Decadent and delectable. I believe a chocolate stout would wash that down exquisitely.
Absolutely and perfectly. It's a lovely image for a lovely night.
Thank you for accepting my friend request!
You're most welcome. Keep up the good work in photography and academia. Microbiology sounds interesting, but I was always a history geek.
Thank you so much Aaronsmith9! It is very interesting, but being a model allows me to get more diversity in my life :) Oh really? Whattype of history? I find certain aspects and time periods very alluring myself.
In undergrad I studied a bit of everything, but in my free time I read a lot of ancient, Celtic, Norse, Classical, Near East, etc. I also like the anthropological aspects of a culture and take interest in specific topics like ancient warfare or the Black Death. Pesky Y-Pestis.
Ooo intriguing. See, those are places and periods I feel I don't know nearly enough about. I do love anthropology though. I almost changed my major after my first anthropology class. And yes, Yersinia is a very pesky bug. I actually remember learning how it was spread during that time period in Pathogenic Bacteriology.
Those are really fascinating cultures. I have a lot of references on them, so I could recommend some books if you have sufficient free time. It's always fun to research and discuss history and anthropology. And your Pathogenic Bacteriology class sounds fascinating. I only have a passing acquaintance with epidemiology and infectious diseases, but I do find them interesting.
I promise if you send me a list, sometime in the future, I will read them :) I'm falling in love with books again, and if it's learning, it's even better. Anything infectious disease fascinates me. I guess it made for my dream job for a reason. I don't think I'll ever run out of anything to study.
Thank you so much for accepting my friend request! Add me to the list of women who think you look sexy as hell.! ;)
You're very welcome. And thank you for the lovely compliment. Hope you're having a great week.
Thanks! I hope you are as well. What are you up to?
I'm keeping busy. I've been promoting a film I did earlier. We just did the premiere last weekend. I'm also finishing up another film and co-writing script for a comic book called Sheol City. Looking forward to a bit slower week ahead. What's new with you?
I'm also looking forward to a slower week. A few days of work, a few shoots, and no idea yet what I'm doing on the 4th.
I hope you are doing well my dear, awesome trailer by the way!! Congrats. You're a hard working man,
Thanks so much, darlin'. I'm glad you like the trailer. The full 17 min trailer is now up on my fb. It was great getting to do a paranormal film. Yeah, I have been working my bum off with all the filming. And I'm co-writing a paranormal comic called Sheol City. I'll try to watch Cake Boss. Anything else new?
Aww, shucks. And you're not so bad yourself ;)
Oh hell yeah!! That rocks! You look sexy as hell ;) I love fantasy flicks, I bet it was fun to play the lead villain! Keep rockin' it!!
Thanks so much. It was reeeeaaaly fun playing Kerboros. He's definitely the most fun character I've played to date. And I just heard today that a 3 minute trailer will be available soon. Stay tuned :)
Of course. You're welcome. Hope you are having a nice week.
Hey thank you for the add, check out my sets and video and share some love <3
hope your day is amazing <3
Thank you for accepting my friend request! :)
You are very welcome. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Ciao!
Just wanted to drop by and say <333
Hey. Nice to hear from you. I've been super busy. I just filmed a movie at Fox Studios, Baja. The movie is called Callejero and I play a French underground boxer. There are some nice pics from set on my new fb fanpage https://www.facebook.com/aaronsmithactor. It was a lot of work and fight training, but so much fun. Hope you're well. What's new?
That's really great! Congrtaz, sounds awesome, when does the movie come out? I just liked your page, take care <3
Thanks so much for liking my page. All the latest news an pics will show up there. Release dates are always tenuous because postproduction timetables are unpredictable, but they told me they plan on a December premiere. I'll keep you updated, though.
Thanks for accepting my FR ♥
Of course. I hope you are doing well. Best wishes for a great weekend.
Hi how are you? Thanks for the friend request!
Thanks for stopping by my wall and saying hello. Sorry about the delay getting back. I've been super busy training for a boxing film I'm doing at the end of the month. I'm pretty much living like it's a training camp. How are you this week? I see you're a Kiwi. That's cool. How long have you been in the states?
You're very welcome. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for the add dear! <3
You are most welcome. Great alt/punk style and photos. Do you have any favorite punk bands? Oi from the U.S.
Thank you!! And yeah sure I looove Total Chaos, Gg allin, etc.
Nice to meet you! :)
Thank you. It's nice to met you as well. You have a wonderful portfolio. And I see you're a fellow beer snob. Cheers! I guess we'll both be avoiding the Budweiser. Any favorite beers?
Definitely avoiding Budweiser at all costs! Ha. My favorites are Left Hand's Nitro Milk Stout and Young's Double Chocolate Stout. I love my rich and creamy headed stouts. :D
Never tried the Nitro, but I'll have to find some. Young's Double Chocolate is one of my favorites, too. I love a good stout. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend Airdale Dark and Stormy.
I'll definitely have to try that!! :D
Hi new friend!!
Hello. It's great to make your acquaintance. Wonderful photo sets. And I see you like Bubba Ho-Tep. I thought I was about the only person who had ever seen that movie.
Haha, no way!!! Amazing movie! First, I love Elvis and secondly, I love Bruce Campbell. Just amazing! I'm glad I now know someone else that has enjoyed the film!
I'm glad to know you too. Bubba Ho-Tep is one of the great offbeat comedies that few have seen. Bruce Campbell always cracks me up. And I grew up with Elvis, as my mom was a big fan. I suspect that has something to do with my name- Aaron. Glad we can talk film. It's one of my main interests.
Books are mine...but film plays it's own special role in my life.
That's fantastic! Books one of my other great pleasures in life. I've always had more books than bookshelves, though, so my flats have always looked like a post-nuclear library. I also write, as well as act, so I get to create in my favorite mediums. Any favorite literary genres? I've always liked history, horror, fantasy and existentialist lit.
Always more books than bookshelves. Always. Fantasy, philosophy, science fiction, horror, suspense, really almost anything but romance and those silly vampire love stories.
Ha! I hear that. I love books, but am so sick of what those goofy YA books about metrosexual, glittery vampires are doing to our literary culture. I see you're a Stephen ing fan. I've been reading him since I was 12. I really loved some of his Dark Tower books, among others.
I hated King for years. I first read him I was 10 and the book kind of just ended...I was like but what happened next, did they live, did they die, what, what, what?? You know...but then I read him again in high school, say 1998 or 99, and have been hooked since.
I haven't read any sparkling vampire books, or any Harry Potter books, or even seen any of the movies...
Yeah, I'm with you on the shiny d-bag vamps and Harry Potter. Wouldn't read those to save my life. I managed to avoid the films pretty well, too except for the time my former drummer brought over the first prissy wizard kid flick and I felt obligated. My review:blech! Not sure why that stuff appelas to anyone. Hve you read Neil Gaiman or China Mieville? They're pretty interesting.
Have not read either... may look into them, though currently I'm behind on my reading list.
I'm pretty behind on my reading list, myself. I just finished a history of the Vikings, and resumed The Enterprise of Death by Jesse Bullington. I highly recommend American Gods and Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, and King Rat and Perdido Street Station by China Mieville. Great contemporary fantasy.
Ohh new photo! Sexy <333
Thanks, darlin.' It's always an honor to receive such a nice compliment from such a gorgeous woman. It really brightens my day. Glad you like my pics, too. There will be some cool ones up when I get my fb actor/model page up.
Thanks so much for your vote and comment on Sparkly Spike, so glad you like the set :-*
I think I lean a bit more toward Hemingway. He's like a good friend whom you love, but drives you nuts sometimes. Sometimes I love what he writes, and sometimes I hate it. Often in the course of the same paragraph. Which adds to the fun. His dialogue is hilarious, but sometimes his characters piss me off. Sometimes he's clearly drunk while writing. I guess I would have to say that for me, it's the quirky, dry humor of his dialogue that puts him over the top. Any other faves?
That's a hefty book there. Of course that's Dostoevsky's style. I actually have it, but haven't gotten to it yet. My leisure reading got backed up when I was in law school and I still haven't caught up. Now I'm on about 4 books, including the Stranger in French. I do love the grand yet bleak character of Russian literature. It's existential in a different way from French and German existentialism.
I'll definitely get to the Brothers Kazamazov in the near future, time permitting. I haven't taken up any secialized area of law. A law school curriculum consists of several core areas that every lawyer has to know, plus electives. Bar exams test rigorously on all core subjects. Then you can practice almost any type. I passed the CA bar, but the market sucks, so I ended up acting. Funny, right?
You're actually not far off as far as how it works after law school. Most lawyers do specialize in a few types of law, although they are permitted to branch out. The acting is going quite well. Thanks for asking. I've been working consistently since July, when I got my fist speaking role in an idie 80s comedy called Eternity:The Movie. Mostly small stuff, but very busy this spring. Have you acted?
Yeah, there is definitely some crossover between acting and modeling. You are still performing, and in a sense creating a character. I work in both, but am focusing more on acting right now. I'm actually filming 2 projects this weekend, then might squeeze in a shoot before filming the next weekend. Still waiting to see most of my work, as all my films are in postproduction. I'll keep you posted.
Will do. And no worries on the delay. I'm just glad you're doing ok. Filming went great on both projects. One was a short, so my work on that is done. I just have to wait through postproduction. The second one is a feature, and I'm back on it in mid April. Thanks so much for taking an interest in my work. I think your work is awesome. Hope your new home turns out well. Great to hear from you :)
That's funny, I filled out a form on career day and it said my best opitions were prostitution or liposuction assistant in the 3rd world. Post production is pretty slow. Most feature films take about a year. Tv is about 4 months. But the film I did in July is pretty far along, and the recent shorts should be ready soon. I'm also setting up a fanpage. Glad the move turned out. Anything else new?
I've been keeping busy, too. New pics and just set up the fanpage. It's https://www.facebook.com/aaronsmithactor. You're also very welcome to my personal page. I'll send you a message with that link, too. 2 weeks off from filming. I may read my roommate's bio of Hemingway and Fitzgerald. Will let you know if it's good.
Hmm. The silly message button didn't work, so here's my personal page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003551327531&ref=tn_tnmn . Btw, would you like to be a featured model on my fanpage? I could post a pic and links to any of your work you would like to promote. I think it's lovely stuff.
Yup, that's my son Ryker. He's 16 months old. The pic was taken on location for the film I'm currently working on. I have him about half the week, and take him on set sometimes. And sometimes, as in this case, he ends up in the film. It's his second film appearance. Glad you like the photos and are interested in appearing on the page. I would love to promote your lovely work.
Ryker is a Dutch name, meaning strength or wealth. The joke is, his mom liked it and I was studying for the bar, therefore that's his name. He's a big ham and full of energy. Loves to go out and play. He gets to play a lot on set, and seemed to have fun watching me do fight training for my next film. And he loves having his picture taken.
Thanks. I think he's pretty cute, too. Of course I may be a bit partial. If he does follow in my footsteps, I only hope I can lead him to the shortcut so he doesn't have to stumble and wind as much as I did. I want him to have every opportunity to do whatever he chooses. So he gets to come along on lots of adventures.
Aww, thanks. Dada is my number one job. Going to pick up baby this afternoon and play until Sunday.
We always have fun playing together. Even when he's having his toddler fussies. He loves to dance, play, and go out to see the world. He loves dogs and animals (many of which he calls arf arfs). He also loves taking baths with dada and sleeping on his face. Didn't take him to Mex to film. He was with his mom. But did get an new maraca and baby soccer uniform.
Yeah, he's all-around adorable. He goes arf arf when he sees dogs on the street or on tv. Also arfs at horses and sometimes cats. he's learning more words, too. Points at the bus in his book and says "bus" but it often sounds like butt.
Yeah, it's adorable how he's starting to verbalize. He says "up" when he wants me to pick him up. "No" is a new favorite. "Wow" and "whoa" are new. And he started doing the cutest thing. He runs up and hugs my legs at random times.
And he would love to make you melt. He loves people and attention and affection. This morning he was sitting on the couch, then jumped down, hugged me, then back to the couch. Cute overload. He also went o his 1st baseball game of the season last night. Played on the playground, walked the stairs and fell asleep on Dada's shoulder.
Aww. That's so sweet. Thank you. He means the world to me, and I'm sure it would make him happy to know he's special to you, too. I get to pick him up a bit early tomorrow. Playing at the beach this weekend.
He had so much fun. At first he ran to the shore, then reached up for me to pick him up, like"Dada get me the hell out of here." later he started running at the tide and laughing when I picked him up and lifted him away from the waves. Also got a pic of his little footprints next to my big ones. He also watched ice age about 15 times :) I'm sure he says hi.
You're welcome. yep, he loves his toons: Ice Age, Kung Fu Panda, 101 Dalmations and all the Disney tv toons. Laughs like hell when I impersonate the sabertooth kitty saying "Where's the baby?" Unfortunately our footprint pic is on my phone, which won't upload to a computer. Can text it if you want. For now, will try to post a recent pic via message.
Looks like both of our phones are a pain. Mine won't do anything computer-related like email or upload, but I can email pics from my computer itself. Lots of cute pics of baby on file. It's amazing looking at them and seeing how fast he grows. Wish I could slow it down.
Yeah, I'm enjoying every moment with him. Even the screamy ones. And taking tons of pics of him. Can't capture all of those great moments on camera. But the rest I'm holding in my memory. And the pics are pretty darn cute.
Speaking of stages, he's in the teething stage. has the front ones, but the molars are coming in. No fun for him, but now he puts his finger in my mouth, smiles and says "ow." Will have to show you some of the cute pics from the toothless baby grin stage. So cute.
He's doing better on the teeth this week. Still likes to poke Dada's teeth and say "ow", but just as a fun game. I sent a pic from his 1st baseball game last year with his cute toothless grin, and a more recent one from a brewery excursion. Hope it makes you smile. We had a fun 4th. He was so sleepy watching fireworks, but managed a "wow" before falling asleep.
