I look for beauty in many places--nature, architecture, and women especially. Whatever strikes my eye. Sometimes I like to position that beauty in a dreary setting, or a setting that contradicts the beauty of the subject. Having a model turn a mundane or dilapidated setting beautiful.
It's kind of cheating, I suppose--wait for beauty to come by and photograph it. Doesn't seem like much work, does it? But getting it RIGHT, so that you see as much of what I saw as possible: Now that's the art part.
