“I'm really glad the Cliche contest came along. Sarah and I shot this set before she moved away and originally she didn't care for it that much, and yet I loved the gothic appeal of it. When the contest came up she went and looked again and rethought her view on it, and now I think she likes it as much as I do.
It's always really nice to have a different style than clean glamour. When we shot this, I had the Madonna Like a Prayer video playing in my head. I really wanted to give the impression that something dark was happening. That a girl was in trouble and looky for asylum and yet the church wasn't there for her. With no where left to turn she does all she can do. She offers herself to God. ”
