Hello, my real name is Darshan. I randomly stumbled upon this site, after browsing through various portfolios on modelmayhem. I have always had an interest in photography, especially art nudes, amongst other things. I hope to one day be able to have a large portfolio of my own! For now, I want to explore and learn as much as possible about photography, modelling and how the whole process works!

Hey! Cinco de Mayo? What's that? Sounds spanish and therefore exotic! Me and some friends had a BBQ yesterday, and went out to town for a little bit! Feeling pretty hungover now lol. You do anything? -
Haha oh it's a Mexican holiday but I think it's celebrated more in America than Mexico. I think it was supposed to be celebrating some battle but mostly people just use it as an excuse to get drunk.

Yea I figured it was Mexican, it did sound like it. Haha I think most holidays are an excuse to get drunk! Don't worry I've fully recovered now. Water always helps! You should do the same if you're not feeling great. Hope you get better yourself luv! -

Hiya Pixie! I'm good thanks! Justice League marathon? Sounds epic! Love that show so much! I'm getting psyched because the new Star Trek movie will be out next week! I saw Iron Man 3 last weekend - I really enjoyed it! You seen it yet? -

Not a big fan of what they did to the Mandarin... -
That's what I heard people's biggest complaint was. Having not read the comic books, I didn't know much about the Mandarin, and so I found the twist really funny! But I can see how the loyal comic fans who probably grew up with the character, and the fact that he was supposed to be the arch-nemesis of Stark, were pissed off as to what happened to his on-screen representation! -
Yeah. All in all it was a cool movie though. I loved what they did with Pepper... Wouldn't it be cool if she became a superhero, too? Though with the way comicbook writers seem to write them, usually when two characters end up romanticly involved, one of them usually turns supervillan. -
Yea I also liked what they did with Pepper. Although it did seem odd that Stark didn't seem that badly affected, when it appeared that she died! Haha true comic book writers usually don't let true love prevail! I just came back from watching Star Trek 2 at the cinema. It was really good! If you haven't seen it, I recommend it! -

Mmmmm summer is awesome! I have been to London, studied at Imperial College for a summer. And I've traveled and seen a lot of the UK. It's sooo beautiful there :) Where in Canada have you been to? -
You studied at Imperial? Wow you must be crazy smart! They have a lot of Asians there which figures lol. What did you study? Unfortunately Toronto is the only part I've been to. Really wanna see more! What parts of the UK did you visit? There's still quite a few parts even I haven't seen haha -
Yes I studied at Imperial... took the Experience England Study option that was offered at my school. I took a course in British and Irish Writers... Toronto is nice. If you visit again you should check out British Columbia... That place is gorgeous! I've been to London, Manchester, Wales, Leeds, St. Andrew's, Oxford, Brighton and Stratford among others, all of which were lovely! Very friendly :) -
British and Irish Writers? That sounds really interesting. The UK certainly does produce a lot of talented writers. I'll put British Columbia on my list! I really wanna see all the mountains and forests too. Wow, so you've really got to see a lot of the UK then! I've been to most of those places too, except for Leeds. I tell you what, you should visit Scotland some time too. Especially Edinburgh! -
It was :) The UK most certainly does. Cool! since you enjoyed Niagara you'll definitely enjoy B.C. The mountains are awesome especially if you go by horseback :D ...I will for sure check Scotland out I've only been to Gretna Green in terms of seeing Scotland. -
Going for a horse ride through the mountains? Sign me up! Although the one time I rode a horse, it was only walking, and I thought I was gonna die lol. I think I just need to man up! -
The one I took started slow as a walk so they don't just drop you in the deep end with no floaties... I'm sure you'd be just fine and the views are so spectacular you'd forget everything else :) -
Oh right, well that sounds ok then. To be fair when I did ride that horse it was on a run-down farm in London. Not quite as picturesque as the Canadian mountains! -
Still sounds interesting, I mean there have been really powerful images taken at run-down farms and factories. But the Rockies are truly breathtaking :) Thank you soooo much for voting. Happy Friday and enjoy your long weekend! -

Hey Kat! Not much going on this weekend I don't think. Just trying to save money for the work trip to Austin next week! Woo! Tonight, I might go for a few drinks with the work people, but that's still a "maybe". What you up to this weekend? -

Haha thanks but unlikely, it's the beginning of my school quarter so I will have homework until Mid-June.... Most of my homework is reading plays and analyzing and writing papers about them. It's not so bad when I enjoy the plays but often they are plays I do not care for. -
Gaaaayyyyy lol. Well at least some of the plays you enjoy! Is this your final year, or is there more to come? -
haha nope I still have another year after this. It all seems so silly since my degree has very little to do with my career choice but oh well... -
Fair enough. What is your career choice out of curiosity? Photography? -
Modeling, Photography, Tutoring, etc. I suppose career might not be the right word but I plan on turning my current part time jobs that I love into full time jobs after I graduate. -
That's a great idea actually. Because you're building up a lot of experience in all those areas, which would make your CV/resume look even better! Smart approach indeed! -
Thank you :) Sometimes I think I should go into a more dependable career but I want to continue doing the things I love. I'm not sure I could handle some boring job I didn't enjoy. I've actually been tutoring for about 7 years now. Eventually I might end up trying to get a teaching credential but for the moment I'm really trying to focus on modeling and photography! :) -
And so you should! You already have more balls than most people. The majority are stuck in jobs they don't really enjoy, because they never had the guts to pursue their desired careers, so they stuck with the "comfortable" jobs instead. -
Yea I've heard that story from a lot of people. I think we should all chase our dreams! :) But I totally understand that chasing them can be scary and unpredictable sometimes too! -
True, some people feel they're better off sticking in the comfort zone. I guess it all depends how much a of risk-taker you are. I think I'm a bit of a pussy in that regard lol -
Hehe I don't usually think of myself as a risk taker but my dad always told me to "do one thing every day that scares you". I'm a wimp and scared of lots of things so it's easily to follow his advice :P But I think that's part of how I've kept pushing myself to chase my dreams :) -
Lol that's some pretty good advice from your dad then. Clearly it's had an effect! Actually chasing your dreams, makes you much braver than most believe me. There are talkers, and you get doers. You're clearly the latter. -

heehee that youtube video cracked me up! Couldn't resist could ya lol. Well during the day it's gonna be seminars and meetings, but in the evening we are free to do whatever we want. So I imagine most people will just be going out and enjoying themselves. Plus Saturday will be a complete day off where everyone can do their own thing, and explore the city if they want to. Can't wait! -
Sounds like alot of work. But you'll have a good time on Saturday. My sis is stationed in Texas, but she's way out in El Paso. Maybe you can try some nice Mexican food :) -
That's definitely one of the things I want to try! Texas especially would be a good place for that I'm sure. Last time I was in the US, I had quite a few Taco Bells. Whilst that was good, I'm pretty sure it's not quite the same thing as the real deal lol -
Ugggh, taco bell gives me gas...I'm sure you wanted to know that LOL!
