All of my 143 sets were shot with two Nikons, a D-70 and a D-80. I worked the D-70 to death (it lasted many years and traveled all over the country from New York to Hawaii. The shutter finally gave out but I had it repaired and now it's my back up). (The D-80 has been a workhorse, even after I threw it right on concrete just after I got it). -
I would go for a Canon. David shoots with a Canon 5D Mark 2, with great success. -
My suggestion is to poll the people you are most inclined to shoot with... fellow photographer friends who live near you.. if there are more canon shooters than go canon.. if there are more Nikon shooters go Nikon. Both are equally good quality.. but sharing equipment is priceless... -

I have a Nikon, but I want a Canon...they are both great so good luck choosing between the two! -
Sounds like a fun decision, the one between Canon and Nikon. More of the photographers I've worked with shoot Canon, but those who shoot Nikon are pretty intense about it. Honestly, I can't tell the difference in my photos -

Yes, it was a lovely weekend. Sometimes it's nice to get away from modern technology for a while. Not for too long, though! How was your weekend? -
I hope your weekend was a good one. I had a lovely birthday on Saturday, but was offline for 24 hours. We had a power cut , and were without electricity from Saturday evening until last night. Didn't spoil my weekend, though. We spent yesterday afternoon playing a family game of Trivial Pursuits, and ended the game by candlelight, when it began to grow dark. -
So happy you took the time to see my 1self shot set, I was really excited to share it so thanks love! -

Just been reading your About Me. Thoth worshipper! I am very interested in Egyptology, and as I love the sun, Ra is my favourite Egyptian god. Visited Egypt a few years ago, and had an AMAZING day in Luxor. My favourite place there was the Temple of Karnak. -
