Exciting? No. But today I did something I haven't wanted to do, and have been putting off. Went to see my grandmother at the nursing home. Very big, emotional thing. Not much to say about it other than that. Necessary doesn't always equal "fun," you know?

I am sure thst your grandmother really appreciated your visit. My Mum-in-law is 90 years old and lives at home with us. All her grandchildren are very precious to her, and brighten up her days.

Workin' workin' workin'! As you can see from my status, I went to the Avengers premier last night and was Tony Stark! Then I took my mum to see it this afternoon. Twice in 24 hours! And now I am super tired, so I should sleep soon.

I'm not going to have much money to spend at the convention, except for food and drink. I've spent nearly a grand in the last two months helping prep for my friends wedding in June. Saturday and Sunday dinners and lunches are a go, though, because my friends wisely reminded me to set aside some cash for our traditions. :D

It very much was! It ended up running until the wee hours of the morning thanks to what became the worlds dirtiest game of Apples to Apples, a couple of tubs of ice cream, and hot tea. My friends are awesome.

It's completely worth the few bucks a month for the streaming if you're in to old movies and off-the-beaten-path types of shows. I probably wouldn't watch TV at all if it wasn't for Netflix. :D

oh my computer speakers are like non existent. I tried to watch a movie once on it and I couldn't hear it. I have all the TV movies via cable and I never ever watch any movies. It is a waste really.

The movie could have been a fantastic examination of the bleak and terrifying concept of an invasion by a grossly superior alien force. Instead it was disjointed and violent, with tons of explosions and an unexplained heroic denouement. It was so much less than it could have been. :(

Hehe my friends love to dress up and throw costume parties. They haven't done one in a while though... Last year we were going to have a popstars costume party and I bought giant fake cupcakes to be Katy Perry from one of her music videos. Then we had some issues and had to cancel the party. :/ My Katy Perry costume was never finished but I got to use the cupcakes in a Zivity set :P

Hmm, there are a few British villains in Star Wars! I often wonder why Hollywood so often cast the British guys as the baddies. My guess is Peter Cushing as Governor Tarkin. Probably wrong, but that's what I am thinking.

Miyazaki was one of the driving forces of my taking Japanese in college. Now, I still don't speak it at ALL well, but I tried!
I freely admit that ever since watching Arrietty The Borrower, every time something goes missing in my house, I start looking for tiny footprints on my counters. ;)
