About Me

I'm a new-fangled guy with old-fashioned goals. What's wrong with that?

My mum raised me to tell the truth, respect other people, and be the best I could be. She's my hero, how could I do anything less than what she asks?

I like cats, anime, books, music, Eddie Izzard, trying new food, eating healthy, cooking, and going for walks as the sun's going down.

I cook, I clean up pretty damned good, I love animals and kids, and I have an oral fixation when appropriate. Read into that what you will. ;)

Some of the folks I've spoken to here on Zivity think it's weird that I speak to models like they're people and have brains, despite having seen them naked. To this I say: You mean there are people who DON'T? What's WRONG with them?

My costume party is themed "wear a different costume than you wore at the last one." It's a very cunning theme, I assure you. :)

(I have some friends who always wear the same costume, you see...)

Bit of sad news. My boss is leaving my company on Friday. I've been SWAMPED trying to learn everything he knows. It's a lost cause, but I have learned quite a bit more than I thought I would. :)

My weekend was full of nightmares, but also full of time spent with my mom and best friend, so that worked out okay. :)

Sorry to hear about the nightmares. Good to spend time with people you are about, though. I had all the family here this weekend except my daughter in Australia, and I chatted with her on Skype, which is the next best thing to seeing her in person.

The weather was actually pretty good, which was great for a 2-hour-each-way drive. :) And thankfully, there wasn't as much drama involved as we thought. All in all the day was good. We talked, watched Benjamin Button, and had delicious cake at a local restaurant. :)

Unfortunately my weekend started with me getting stood up for a dinner date. I was able to salvage it by going out with friends, though, so tonight ended well. And it means I didn't end up getting all dressed up for nothing. ;)

I got up super early, cleaned the house, and put the turkey in the oven. Then I got a small chance to rest before people started showing up. I made sure to eat, and we played card games and socialized until the late evening. It was great! :D
