Still doing pretty well in spite of my mental problems, mostly depression. I will be going to a comic book convention in Philadelphia at the end of the month with a couple of friends. Hopefully that will cheer me up quite a bit! -

I quite like it. The basic idea is to get as low a score as possible. The problem is that it's on at the same time as The Chase. BTW, we're getting our own version of The Chase very soon! -

Oh no, I hadn't heard that Frank Thornton has died. He played such a good part in Are You Being Served. I think I told you before that Mollie Sugden who played Mrs. Slocombe, was my Dad's cousin. -

That was terrible about Jimmy Savile, wasn't it? He was a kinf of hero here in his liefetime, and my kids used to watch him every saturday in a show called Jim'll Fix It, where he made children's dreams come true. Little did we know then what he was really like! -

What has happened to the hockey? Why is there a lockout? -
The owners and the players are having a spat over how to divide the revenue the NHL earns. The players used to get 57% but the owners wanted them to have only 43%. There have been off-and-on negotiations since Sept. 16 and the most recent offer was a 50/50 split, but there has been no deal yet. There are more elements to the story, but this is the basic reason why there's a lockout. -
What's really aggravating is that this is the third lockout in the last 18 years, one of which resulted in the cancellation of the entire 2004-05 season. You'd think everybody involved would be smart enough to not let it happen again this year, but it might just indeed occur. -
