This is a very brief summary of my life to date. Grab a drink, put your feet up, and know this is my personal view of my life till this moment. I think you'll see my point of view is only equaled by my photographic view. Moments preserved... truth found in the playfulness of living!!!
Hello everyone. As you have seen... I am Rusty ;-) When I was in four years old I took my first set of nudes...my own!!! ;-) I was raised with a camera in hand. I blew rolls of film to get the exact shoot I was looking for. Some said it was wrong. Who cares!!! Critics are everywhere. Some love it, some hate it, and some never get it!!! I see the "inner model" within us all. What is wanting to be in the picture without all the drama, over control, and not listening to the model/muse at the moment. I have a different way to compose the image. Just go with it...free flow. It sound too simple but too many can't. It takes a little time.
Now, the back story of my past. I grew up in Johnson City,Tennessee. I went to high school at Science Hill High School. I played football, sang in choir, acted in the drama club, & was a weekend bad boy having a great time without being the life of the party. I found photography helped me express myself without saying a word. I was the overweight, foul mouthed, stoner with a kind soul. No one saw this artistic side of me. The annual stuff couldn't use alotta them because they were too "playful". It was a nice way to says they were borderline risque for a high school annual. During this time I worked at Empire Photographics of Johnson City. While I was there I was taught to develop film, crop & print pictures, and how to do the "magic" with the enlarger for speechless prints.I worked there for over 10 years. It was the best education I've ever earned!!!
While I worked at Empire I was blessed to have a boss the used only Nikon. Every piece, lens, multipliers, motor drives, light meters, and just about anything you could imagine. This is where I used outstanding Nikon equipment. Since that time I have only use Nikon. I find the optics, lens, and camera bodies to be the best built in the world!!! I am very biased on this point. So now I use a Nikon P100 for the outstanding picture quality and the wonderful video options in HD1080p. Right after the Christmas holidays I will start using a D7000 to take my photography to the next level!!!
Now what's going on around me at the time. I am a four time cancer survivor, I had spinal meningitis in my mid 20's where my heart, brain & spinal system(cord & fluid), and kidneys were first damaged for the cancer to start. Now at 49 years old, I'm living past my time. That's why I am back so heavily in to photography, using my camera to show the stories of live. My dear friend Tiffany's picture showed up on my screen on Facebook. We started touching base, talking, catching up, and she bragged on this site being a wonderful place to she great new friends. Thank you for stopping by, sharing time, and reading the Reader's Digest summery of who I am and where I want to go with women/ models/ as well as blissful muses who enjoy, play, and can be themselves in front of a camera at all times. Hope to make new friends. Know some won't like it...but who cares!!! Better folks get past the obstacles than making newer ones.Much love, bliss, and wonderful pictures!!! ;-)
