Hmm... that is rather funny. I'm more of a metal, folk, and folk-metal sort of guy.
I am. I am of Celtic, Norman, and Slavic descent, primarily, and even worship the old gods of Ireland.
She's, pretty much, my "patron deity," though I pay homage to the rest of her triat, too, Daghdha, and, frequently enough, lately, Aengus for help in love.
Ideally, she'll guide my blade so that I'm not the one falling but any blessing of the battle crow is a good one. I'll give you a proper spiteful Irish blessing: "May the gods look favorably on your enemies' enemies."

It was a blast of a weekend with my best friend. Though I do hate the train system.....
Well, at least you had fun. I've got friends in Chicagoland that I need to visit some time myself.
Yeah traveling is one of my least favorite things. I love being where I'm going.....I just hate having to get there.
Understandable, they really should improve in their service. I used to buy business/first class train tickets but then they started dropping amenities so now all it is is an extra-expensive coach ticket with a little more leg room.
I like it because even with their buses there is more leg room then on Greyhound.
I've never ridden Greyhound so I can't make the comparison.
I have one time.....and things are better with Amtrak but still I didn't pay 92$ for a train ticket to eb stuck on a bus. They did however give me lots of snacks and bottles of water for the inconvenience.

I've always enjoyed riding a train, though I usually bring along a flask so the time passes faster. Best friends are well worth the journey, though.

It's been a few years since I've been on a train and each time I was going to a convention so I didn't really need the computer.

Being a small town boy, I tend to be distrustful of bigger cities and didn't want my precious computer to be stolen.
