Oh! I almost forgot to ask! Did you get enough put together for the new camera you are wanting?
Locations are a bitch! We usually end up having to dish out a lot of money for good ones but it's worth it :) Yes!! I was about to order the camera yesterday actually and I got an email saying it was out of stock :(((( wtf!! The site said it was available too. Hopefully they get it back in soon.
Oh man!!! That is wrong on so many levels! I will keep my fingers crossed they do. Ugh I totally understand on the locations. I haven't actually paid for any yet with my friend I take pics for but thinking about putting up a building on my property and calling it "planet hell" like from Srat Trek NG lol.
The planet Hell idea sounds bad ass! I'll have to come shoot if you manage to get that up ;) I've got my fingers crossed too! I was actually going to wait to buy the camera in July while I was in Germany but I found one here for the same price but apparently they don't have it in stock, otherwise my next offer is $2,700 ouch, so I many be waiting until July again.
:) Now that would be bad ass!!! I just like the idea of not always having to go find some place to shoot. Could store good backdrops and props in one part and shoot in the other. Ouch!! Yeah waiting till then would suck but better than being so expensive for sure. Luck! On them getting it back so you can order it. :)

Who?!? I hadn't heard about that one. Really should visit here more often. Only if it lasts a while sadly. My friend works full time so it may take a bit to get done. Making two actually. One for each of us. Another friend and I are going to work on a life sized weeping angel next time she is down from South Dakota.

I hope it will be haha. It's the friend I do shoots for and I think it's a test run for a costume for her. We might get them done in time for the contest. His is going to be "steam punked" for his anual Halloween party. Built the side of a pirate steamboat last year.

Oh, I really need to change that. I have friends that live there and visit from time to time but actually live in Oklahoma. It has some pretty country and nice in the summer but yeah not so nice in winter.
I haven't visited OK yet, but I visited a friend's family in SD and instantly fell in love. Almost left city life to go live and work on their ranch, mostly because they said if I did I could fulfill a dream of having a pet pygmy goat haha.
Hahahaha that does sound nice. I presume they are cute unlike the full sized ones. had one of those chase me when I was a kid. Fortunately I was able to dive over the fence I was silly enough to climb over in the first place.
Haha oh God that must have been pretty terrifying when you were young. I read a story recently where a goat chased a kid up a tree and he was stuck there for hours.
Pygmy goats are usually what they have at petting zoos and carnivals. They're mighty cute as babies.

Yes, I am! I was born and raised in the suburbs but moved to the city proper about four years ago. I really love Chicago. My dad always says it takes a special kind of person to live in the city, but I think the same about the suburbs.
What the heck was that town he was born in. Wasn't actually part of Chicago when he was born. I keep thinking Elgen or Elgin however it's spelled but I think that was just the name of a famos local train. "The roarin Elgin". Use to talk about all his buddy's making zip guns because of all the gangs and mobsters. Pretty much always been a suburb dweller myself.
Elgin is a suburb. I would have never thought of mobsters running around there haha. It seems so quaint there, now.
I don't think it was actually Elgin the name is just stuck in my brain. I will remember it tomorrow lol. I think they mostly had gang stuff there. He did tell me about how his dad took him to some train station that was shot up in a gangster hit to show him why to stay out of the mob. This was in the 30's.
