I just wanna go on record as saying thanks to those who supported the Psycho spoof...but after talking with someone here I really respect about the subject, I've come to the realization that staff did what they had to do to protect the site. In the end, implied or not, spoof or not, joking or not, the theme is still "murder"...even if that was not our intent to portray murder per se. There are certain business relationships that have to be protected in order for the site to exist and if adherence to certain blanket standards is necessary then that's the way it is. I'm a big girl and I'll get over it. I know the decision was not personal or malicious or based on any personal or moral aesthetic. In the end the decision was what's best for Zivity as a whole and that works for me. <3

sorry to hear about the B&W version of the set - hopefully i can save up enough votes to get to see it. there'a a fine line between what can be shown/implied in a set (it's kinda universal here/SG/GG/DN/whathaveyou). in the shower scene from Psycho, Janet Leigh was knifed to death...at the end of the day in the bondage/ball gag sets - no-one is implied to, well, die. art is art but death = bad

i'm holding out hope that maybe they'll change their minds about it. it really was more about spoofing the movie and capturing the look and feel of the film more than actual murder per se. I wish we had shot an alternate version of "Norman" maybe holding a cellphone and shoving it in my face while i scream "hold my calls!". That might've worked. ;P

...the funniest shot in the set was a mock of that one goofy frame (well, 24 or 48 frames or whatever) where the knife just kinda pokes her in the belly. i'm sure you know which one i mean. i've always thought that was hysterical. it was details like that we were going for. :P

She passed away on 11/16. Acute anemia brought on by chronic renal failure. Even two blood transfusions couldn't save her. :'(
(that's her in my profile. she was a cat prodigy. you'd just have to have met her to know what i mean)

Thank you. I'm trying, and I sure hope you're right. She was a special little girl tho. You can just see it in her eyes and her little kitty smile (see pic). There will never be another like her and there's a huge hole in our lives now that she's gone. :(
