Web/Graphic Design Intern
Was YCombinator too short sighted to accept your project? Recession making it hard to get real-world experience? Did your internship offer get pulled due to cutbacks? When a door closes, a window opens... Zivity is looking for an up-and-coming Web/Graphic Designer to come work in our new SoMa office in San Francisco! Zivity interns work flexible, part-time, schedules with some location flexibility. You'll work from our offices (down the street from South Park in San Francisco) on Monday and Thursday with a flexible third day each week.
Responsibilities:
- Design and prototype beautiful/pragmatic web experiences in Photoshop, HTML, and CSS.
- Design promotional materials like: business cards, tee-shirts, post cards, banners, stickers, etc.
- Work closely with the UI Architect and other members of the Zivity team to create new features.
Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:
- At least one year web design experience, ideally using Photoshop, HTML, CSS, W3C, etc.
- Obsessed with delivering beautifully pragmatic user experiences.
- Thrive best in small, friendly, energetic teams in a fast paced environment.
- Above average organization and communication skills.

Ruby on Rails Intern

Responsibilities:
- Learning, hacking, building, breaking, fixing, TESTING, and helping
- Assist in developing new features and bug fixes using Ruby On Rails, MySQL, HTML, etc.
- Be part of a team that's not only creating the future of fan/artist interaction but is renown for its culture.
Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:
- At least one year programming experience, ideally in Ruby On Rails, MySQL, HTML, etc.
- Understanding of internet/web technologies such as browsers, firewalls, and Internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP.
- Working knowledge of source control software (CVS, Subversion, etc.).
- Thrive best in small, friendly, energetic teams in a fast paced environment.
- Above average organization and communication skills.
